Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Everybody loves a good soft and chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie. These delicious cookies have just the right combination of crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, with chocolate and butter as the stars of the show. In my opinion they are the best cookies.
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- ⅔ cups butter room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 egg room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In large bowl, beat butter with sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
- Add flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop heaping tablespoons full onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12 minutes until golden brown, rotating pans halfway through.
- Cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
