Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • cups butter room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In large bowl, beat butter with sugar until fluffy.
  • Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
  • Add flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until combined.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop heaping tablespoons full onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12 minutes until golden brown, rotating pans halfway through.
  • Cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
