Apple Coffee Cake

Apple Coffee Cake

Coffee cake is one of those cakes that gets away with being acceptable to eat any time of the day.

A coffee cake may or may not have coffee in it, but the name comes from the fact that it is served with coffee, not because it has coffee in it.

This buttery apple coffee cake is topped with a crunchy cinnamon pecan crumble. The apples work wonders as they bake and add sweetness as well as making the cake moist and tender. I like baking with honeycrisp apples, but any kind of apple will work.

The only thing that can make this cake any better is enjoying a piece of this deliciousness with a cup of coffee and a friend.
