Banana Tahini Nutella Loaf
Bananas and tahini are a delicious combination. This banana tahini nutella loaf has a light crumb and rich sesame flavour. Throw a few spoons of Nutella into the mix and prepare to be mind blown.
Tahini adds a complex nutty flavour to this gluten-free and refined sugar-free quick bread that’s mixed by hand in one bowl.
Sometimes you want to jazz it up a little and try something fun and different. Swirl tahini and Nutella on top for the perfect sweet nutty finish. You’re going to love it.
Banana Tahini Nutella Loaf
Ingredients
- 2-3 ripe bananas mashed
- 1/2 cup tahini plus 1-2 tbsp for drizzling
- 3 large eggs
- 3 tbsp honey or date syrup
- 1½ cups almond flour, finely ground
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp nutella
- sesame seeds for decoration
- baking spray
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
- Whisk together the mashed banana, tahini, eggs, honey or date syrup and vanilla in a large bowl
- Add almond flour, baking powder and salt and mix until combined.
- Spray the loaf pan and line with a parchment sling (overhanging the sides for easy removal).
- Spread the mixture into the baking pan and drizzle 2 tbsp tahini and 2 tbsp nutella on top swirl with a skewer. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the middle. Recipe inspired by Seed and Mill.
