Valentine’s Shortbread Cookies

Valentine’s Shortbread Cookies

Shortbread cookies are the easiest cookies to make in my humble opinion. Once the dough is rolled out, it can be cut into any shape using a cookie cutter or a knife. The cookies hold their shape really well when they bake. They are crispy, tender and melt in your mouth with each bite.

Follow a Few Simple Steps to Make These Cookies

  1. beat softened butter with powdered sugar until well incorporated.
  2. mix flour and cornstarch and mix with butter to form a cohesive dough.

For Valentine’s Day, I cut the cookies with different sized heart shaped cookie cutters and glazed them with a two tone glaze. Then I went crazy with the sprinkles.
