Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, mix the vegetable oil, brown sugar and egg. Mix until smooth.
Add the mashed bananas and mix until combined.
Add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out mostly clean. Oven temperatures vary, so start checking at 50 minutes. Recipe from Diane Morrisey.
