Guacamole

Course Appetizer, Snack

Ingredients

  • 3 avocados, ripe, halved and pitted
  • ½ cup tomato, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ jalapeño, seeds included, finely chopped
  • 1 large lime, juiced, about 2 tbsp
  • 2-3 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp sumac
  • ½ - 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper, fresh ground
  • tortilla chips, to serve

Instructions

  • Add avocadoes, tomatoes,onions, jalapeño, lime juice and parsley to a medium bowl.
  • Roughly mash everything together with a fork until evenly combined.
  • Season with sumac, salt and pepper.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
  • If you’re not serving immediately, place an avocado pit in the centre of the dip (this helps to stop it from turning brown), cover and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve.
