Preheat oven to 320 °F.
Spray an 8 x 8” pan and line with parchment paper.
Place nutella in a medium bowl. Place in the microwave for 20 seconds to soften slightly.
Add eggs one at a time beating well between the addition of each egg.
Using a hand mixer, whisk for 3 minutes until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
Add the ground almonds and mix until smooth.
Sprinkle with flake salt (optional).
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until the centre is set.
Allow to cool before removing from the pan and cutting. Inspired by Sarit Novak.
