Cherry Clafoutis
I have loads of cherries from the tree that’s drooping with cherries in my daughters garden.
So I made a Cherry Clafoutis – it might sound fancy, but don’t be fooled, this French dessert is surprisingly easy to make. And even more importantly, it’s delicious! This simple and classic recipe features fresh cherries baked in an almond scented custard.
The basic ingredients are milk, eggs, flour, sugar and fruit. Easy peasy! For this cherry clafoutis, I’ve also included vanilla extract and almond extract.
It bakes up with a super creamy texture. It’s almost like a cross between flan and cake. Dust lightly with powdered sugar and serve for breakfast, brunch or dessert with ice cream or yogurt.
